Sheffield City Hall is a stunning art deco building offering an imposing setting for events and was awarded Event Magazine’s Large Event Space of the Year 2011. The venue’s centrepiece is the magnificent Oval Hall, a 2,271 seater auditorium with a stained-glass ceiling – a huge room with near-perfect acoustics that can be configured to suit smaller events too. The handsome 800-capacity Ballroom is ideal for dinner dances and parties, but is easily adapted to seat delegates theatre style as well. With its own private entrance, Memorial Hall lends itself just as readily to a meeting for 40 as a conference for 400. The Arches and City Bars provide attractive breakout spaces and there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the venue. Although not a purpose-built convention centre, its facilities can rival any conference venue in the UK and attracts over 150 business events annually. Previous events include the Liberal Democrat Spring Conference 2011 which attracted over 2,000 delegates.
